Welcome to Surfers Poker. We are an online poker community that opened in 2007 and has been online ever since.
From January 2007 until January 2022 we operated as a poker forum, poker quiz site, and poker staking site. Due to certain versions of php being retired at the beginning of 2022, a lot of work was created to update most of our custom software and forum functionality, in order to keep it working to an acceptable standard.
So, in recent years, we are been here mainly with lots of poker information, tips and advice. Not forgetting, also quite a bit of history from the poker forum. A little nostalgia shall we say, especially for some of our wonderful members stopping by.
We hope to get our other content and poker software live again some time in the future, particularly the poker forum (which of course we have full backups of).

For a little bit of history, here is a few screenshots of the forums:
The poker forum has over 100,000 discussion threads, over 780,000 posts, and over 7000 members. We ran over 1400 events/contests for our members. Our integrated software ran 1000's of stakes, and over 40 poker quizzes. It was a friendly place to hang-out and many members improved their poker skills considerably over the years.

Introduction to the forum:
Surfers Poker is a friendly poker forum, run and moderated by poker players with a wide range of expereince. It is a good place to hang out while playing poker, or a good place to learn some more about poker, or to just chat with some likeminded poker enthusiasts. We do lots of events for our members, and try to make things as fun and as laid back as possible. Have a look around at our Surfers Poker Guide, or pages like Whats New, or jump right in and ask a question.
For those starting out playing poker have a look at the How to play poker page, which describes how to play Texas Holdem and all the popular poker games, including Omaha, Stud, and Razz.
For slightly more advanced players have a look at our Poker Strategy page, which contains lots articles and advice for aspiring poker players. And if you are searching around trying to find some good promotions at various sites, have a look at our poker promotions page or site reviews.
Most of all enjoy your poker, and play at a level that you can comfortably afford. We are always happy to have new members register at our site and become involved with the Surfers Poker community. You could be the next Sharkfin Winner, or take down a WSOSP Bracelet (World Series of Surfers Poker), and maybe you'll make a few friends in the process :)
Many Surfers Poker members who joined as casual players have gone on to become poker pros, so if you are keen to learn poker in order to progress in the game then you've found a great online poker home and one of the best online poker communities around.
