The majority of out contests and events appeared in our "Tournaments and Events" forum. But there were also many appearing in the main "Poker Forum" (General Discussion), and The Beach (The social area). Just to give an example, during the WSOP each year, we held a Last Man Standing contest, and a Dream Team contest. I guess you could call these prediction contests, where you are selecting horses you think do well at a major event
Here is the general format of the Last Man Standing contest:
WSOP Main Event - Last Man Standing Contest - Free to enter
"Select 5 poker pros (any names you wish). Whichever Surfers Poker member has the Last Man Standing in the WSOP Main Event (out of their 5 horses) will win.
Example :-
1) Bobby Battle - busted before money
2) Jimmy Jetstream - busted before money
3) Pat Postman - finished 102nd
4) Freddy Firedance - busted before money
5) Lucy Spruce - finished 265th
If Pat Postman is the lowest placed finisher out of everyone's set of 5 players, then you win. In the event of two or more people both selecting the Last Man Standing, then the money will be split.

During the tournament we post regular updates of the horses that as still left, so members can cheer on their horses:
Most times there was an outright winner to these contests, or a 2-way chop, but with Phil Ivey going on to being the Last Man Standing out of all the horses selected, this one above ended up being a run-off between 13 members to decide the winner!
